The polish chart is full of errors.
ReplyDelete"Wicher" not "Witcher". It means "whirlwind".
"Błyskawica" not "Bryslawicka". It means "lightning".
"Jaksólka" not "Jakolska". It means "swallow"
"Żuraw" not "Zuratw". It means "crane" (bird).
"Mozyrsk" not "Mozyrk". It's city name.
Where are "Krakowiak", "Ślązak" and "Kujawiak" - Type II Hunt-class escort destroyers?
Where is "Jastrząb" (ex USS "S-25") S-class submarine?
Where are "Dzik" (ex HMS "P52") and "Sokół" (ex HMS "Urchin") U-class submarines?
I spotted also mistakes like those you mention on the other charts as well such as the Greek one (which it is Royal Hellenic Navy that period by the way). In general, the creator has done a difficult and good job to represent all these classes and Navies in various period.
DeleteAlso Kaszub was destroyed in 1921 by boiler explosion and the silhouettes of Generał Haller and Komendant Piłsudzki were different - similar to finnish Karjala class sloops. "Mozyrz" was renamed "Torun" in 1931 and as all six ships in lower right corner of the graphic was a river monitor. Durring WWII Polish Navy also had about 10 MTBS/MGBS/Sub Chassers of various types.
DeleteI don't what's wrong, but I cannot click on the "Finnish navy (Merivoimat) in WWII" picture to enlarge it, although the text below says I can. Sad since this was the most interesting picture for me.
